A SYMPOSIUM ON MIGRATING BIRDS IN THE IBERIAN PENINSULA will be held in Evora,
Portugal, the 28 and 29 March
1998, organised by SPEA and University of Evora.
A presentation from Clyve Finlayson is confirmed (The role of the Iberian
Peninsula in the overall
Palearctic-African model) and oral communications and posters are welcome,
focusing on the following subjects:
Habitat selection of migrating birds, Census and monitoring, Studies based on
bird ringing, diet and management
and conservation of migrating birds.
Proceedings of this Symposium will be published, with all papers received before
31 January 1998. Informations
can be asked to SPEA, Rua da Vitoria 53-2, 1100 Lisboa, Portugal, or directly to
this e-mail address. Please
disseminate this information to all potential interested people.
