This is the Chicago Audubon Society bird report for Sunday,
April 4th at 3:00PM.

Many migrants have arrived in the Chicago area the last few
days. Birds reported from multiple areas include GREAT EGRET,
BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON, SNIPE, WOODCOCK, PECTORAL SANDPIPER,
LESSER YELLOWLEGS, BONAPARTE'S GULL, DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANT,
HARRIER, MERLIN, BREWER'S BLACKBIRD, WINTER WREN, BROWN CREEPER,
SAPSUCKER, FLICKER, GOLDEN-CROWNED and RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET,
YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER, LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH, HERMIT THRUSH,
BLUEBIRD, BROWN THRASHER, EASTERN TOWHEE, EASTERN PHOEBE,
KINGFISHER, and FIELD, SWAMP, SAVANNAH, CHIPPING, FOX and
VESPER SPARROWS.

The ROSS'S GOOSE at Wooded Isle was last reported on Thursday.
The WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE was still in Wooded Isle's East Lagoon
on Saturday.

Another adult ROSS'S GOOSE was seen Friday in Lake Villa, and
two BARN SWALLOWS were there today.

An adult male and female HARLEQUIN DUCK were seen today at
Rainbow Beach and at the South Shore Cultural Center. A female
HARLEQUIN DUCK was also at the Cultural Center on Saturday.

Three CATTLE EGRETS and a LEAST BITTERN were seen today at
Cuba Road Marsh.

A YELLOWTHROAT, WOOD-PEWEE and WOOD THRUSH were reported Saturday
from the Poplar Creek Prairie Restoration Area in Hoffman
Estates.

LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSHES were seen recently at Eggers Woods,
McClaughry Springs and at Lyman Woods.

A PURPLE FINCH was at John Duffy Forest Preserve today, and a
CAROLINA WREN was along the I&M Canal today in Willow Springs.

A BROAD-WINGED HAWK was seen Saturday at Penny Road Pond Forest
Preserve.

55 PECTORAL SANDPIPERS and 11 LESSER YELLOWLEGS were at the
O'Hare Post Office Ponds on Saturday, and 28 SNIPE were there
Thursday.

35 SNIPE were seen Friday at Prairie Wolf Slough in Highland
Park.

An OSPREY was seen Saturday at Lake Calumet.
