This is the 28 March update of the North Central Texas Rare Bird Alert.
If you need information on local Audubon membership or field

The immature Tundra Swan is still present at Southside Water Treatment Plant,
Dallas County. Also, a large number of American Golden Plovers and Upland
Sandpipers were in the sludge fields off Log Cabin Road. The immature Snow
Goose was on the pond by the headquarters.
At Village Creek Drying Beds, today, 28 MarchTarrant County, three Cinnamon
Teal and four Eared Grebes were present.
On Saturday, 27 March,an American Bittern was found at Lake Lewisville fish
hatchery, Lewisville, Denton County. Also Cinnamon Teal were observed.
A Greater Scaup was observed Saturday, 27 March on a small pond behind
Presbyterian Hospital in Plano, Collins County.
Yellow-throated Warblers were reported both in Dallas and Tarrant County. In
Dallas County, they were found on the road to Sunset Bay at White Rock Lake.
White-Breasted Nuthatches were also present. In Tarrant County, Yellow-
throated Warblers were observed at the Fort Worth Nature Center on the dike at
Cross Timbers Trail.
Yellow-crowned Night Herons have arrived in the past two weeks and are
currently building nests in Dallas and Tarrant Counties.
