On the 23rd in the central in Tama County, two SANDHILL CRANES were seen in
flight from the east parking lot at Otter Creek Marsh. In the northeast in
Winneshiek County, 30 TUNDRA SWANS were at Cardinal Marsh.
On the 22nd in the southeast in Johnson County, a ROSS'S GOOSE was seen at
the S & G Quarry south of Iowa City. In Appanoose County, a LONG-EARED OWL
was in a pine grove at l
Lake Rathbun, and a SHORT-EARED OWL was spotted southwest of Centerville.
