Oklahoma Rare Bird Alert, Sunday night, March 21.

YELLOW-BILLED LOON, Mar 21, Lake Hefner, Oklahoma City
LEWIS' WOODPECKER, Mar 21, Rogers County
PYRRHULOXIA, Mar 21, Oklahoma City

The YELLOW-BILLED LOON, that has been present for several months in
Oklahoma City on Lake Hefer, was reported again today, Sunday, Mar 21.
It seems to be molting into breeding plumage.

One LEWIS' WOODPECKER has been seen in rural Rogers County near the
Tulsa County line just northeast of the town of Collinsville. The
woodpecker has been present for several weeks at the residence of Bill
Luster. If interested in looking for the woodpecker, telephone him at

One female PYRRHULOXIA has been reported at a feeder in Oklahoma County.
It was first seen Wednesday, Mar 17, and has been seen daily through
today, Sunday, Mar 21. If you wish to look for the bird, contact the
