The immature Tundra Swan continues to be seen Southside Water Treatment Plant,
Dallas County. Four Rusty Blackbirds were found in the wooded swamp across
from Building #10. Behind Building #10 eight Redheads were present. A Snowy
Egret was feeding in the pond next to the headquarters. Eleven Brewer's
Blackbirds were feeding in the sludge fields next to Log Cabin Road. A male
Yellow-headed Blackbird was found in the sludge fields across from the
headquarters.
At Village Creek Drying Beds, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, a Sora was found in
the marsh South-west of the eastern pump station. A pair of Cinnamon Teal are
still present in the pond North-west of the eastern pump station.
On Saturday, 20 March a Pileated Woodpecker was seen at a private residence in
Bridgeport, Wise county. This is an extremely rare western observation.
The seasons first Black-chinned Hummingbird was reported from Meridian State
Park, Bosque County, on Saturday, 20 March. Also, Golden-cheek Warlber numbers
are increasing.
