Howdy, welcome to the Monday March 15, 1999 update of the

On Sunday the 14th at Packery Channel, Mel Cooksey had
numerous BARN SWALLOWS (Hirundo rustica), NORTHERN ROUGH-
WINGED SWALLOWS (Stelgidopteryx serripennis), and PURPLE
MARTINS (Progne subis). In the small slough behind the city
property at Packery Channel Mel had LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH.
At Blucher Park near downtown Corpus Christi Chuck Britton
had CHUCK-WILL'S-WIDOW (Caprimulgus carolinensis), LOUISIANA
WATERTHRUSH (Seiurus motacilla), numerous BLACK-AND-WHITE
WARBLERS (Mniotilta varia).
At Hans Suttor Park Chuck reports an interesting male Blue-
