A small flight of ducks came in today - mostly LESSER SCAUP but all twenty
duck species were seen at Lake Springfield.

Monday March 15 a SMITH'S LONGSPUR was at Sangchris. Tuesday two AMERICAN
PIPITS were there and a TREE SWALLOW flew past Marine Point March 17th.

25 HORNED GREBES and an EARED GREBE were at Clinton Lake March 13th. A
WESTERN MEADOWLARK was near Bellflower , McLean County on March 13th.
Several small flocks of SANDHILL CRANES were seen Saturday in Urbana. There
were three Sandhill Cranes over Lake Springfield Friday March 12th. Good
numbers of waterfowl were at Meredosia National Wildlife Refuge March 14th
including, 200 WHITE-FRONTED GEESE, 500 CANVASBACK, 500 GREEN-WINGED TEAL,
and 1000 NORTHERN PINTAIL.

Further south a SURF SCOTER and OLDSQUAW were at Rend Lake Dam March 8th.
